I hand cancelled mine because of a bump from the ribbon. It only took about 15 minutes (at the most) to do all of them.

They won't be ruined by regular mail. And our invites were very neat upon arrival even though they weren't hand cancelled.

when i was engaged years ago i had them hand canceled.
this time around, i realized that the last thing people look at is the outside envelope and that it would be a total waste of my time to try to find someone at the post office who would even be willing to do this for me. i just threw a stamp on them and called it a day

I did mine at Commack. The guy was so helpful. He showed me that if you didn't let the ink dry on the stamps for a few minutes it would smudge. And then he gave me the stamp and let me do them myself.

I had mine hand canceled. Went to the Mineola post office. The guy started hand canceling them before I even had to ask him to do it. No problems whatsover. I def recommend hand canceling if you could

Take them to the post office on Hylan in New Dorp - they'll do it there. It looks so much nicer.
When I went to a post office in Brooklyn, they told me they charge 50 cents per envelope to hand cancel!
