When you ordered your wedding dress how many sizes bigger (or the same) is over your normal clothing size

i think my dress was between 1-2 sizes larger than regular clothes...i believe they say that's typical

I don't know why the mfg.'s do that! probably so that they can charge more money for bigger sizes.

I'm a 0 and had to order an 8! (I was borderline 6/8 on the sizing chart)

i'm a 16 and had to order a 24!
they really should cut them to 'real' size or even too big.. because once i heard the number i kinda wanted to cry a little.

I ordered bigger than my regular size. I was in between sizes so I went with the larger one and it's too big on me-could have gone a few sizes lower.

it really depends on the manufactuer some are pretty true to size. others for example eve of milady which is very popular on here. there size chart for a 10 is suppost to have a 26 inch waist. okay i wear a 10 in regular clothes but by her chart i would be at least a 16 crazy i know!!!!

I am an 8 or 10 and ordered a 14 in my wedding gown (it was a little big) and 12's in all of my bridesmaid dresses I have worn and the 12's just about fit.

I ordered my dress 2 sizes larger than my regular size. I was in between sizes also, so they ordered the larger one.

SCARY- I am usually a 6 or 8 and my wedding gown is a 12! it was def a big jump! i thought at least

Surprisingly, my dress is the same size as my everyday clothes... but my mom had to order a 22 and she wears 14/16

I am a 4/6 and wedding dress is an 8 but once when I was a BM they made me order a 12----it was insane.
