When you ordered your wedding dress how many sizes bigger (or the same) is over your normal clothing size

I was an 8 at the time I ordered and got a 10, though they wanted me to get a 12 but I knew I was going to lose weight. By the wedding I was a 4 and my gown was altered down to fit.

I'm a size 8 normally and had to order a 14 for my dress because they went with the biggest measurement (I have broad shoulders and back), but now everywhere else had to be taken WAAAAAAAAAAAY in.

I'm a size 8 and I ordered a size 12 even though she told me to order a size 14....i was between the two but closer to the 12...the 14 bust was an inch and a half too big...the 12 waist was 1/2 an inch too small

I am a size eight or ten, but my dress is a size twelve. The top will definitely be too big, but the bottom should fit just right.

ITs kind of annoying, but at least we know that its not our REAL size!

That will be me. I am a size 10 and was told to order 2 sizes bigger. I was once a 24 and worked very hard to get to where I am now. The 14 doesn't bother me but to think that I have to have a dress two sizes bigger just flat out pi$$e$ me off.
