Do people normally call the church before booking the rehearsal dinner? I am trying to figure out what date to make the rehearsal dinner but haven't decided on a restaurant yet. I would assume people normally call the church first to see what is the best date for them to rehearse for the BIG day.
Am I correct?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Yes, you are correct. We scheduled the rehearsal with the church first, then scheduled the dinner accordingly (still have no idea where though...want Queens, but we're broke! ).

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Hey you...
How's everything?? How is Mr. Blue?? We want Queens too because our church is in Howard Beach. Don't feel bad about being broke because we are just as broke...lol
Looks like were going to be paying for the Rehearsal dinner too

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Damn that stinks! Yes, we're paying for the RD as well...and our church is in Richmond Hill - the sad part is that the family doesn't even know about a RD so they all think it's stupid.
I'm OK, tomorrow we go for our license, finalize the menu at JT and start freaking out! LOL Wedding's in 3 weeks!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Most churches do rehearsal on set days of the week, between certain hours. I booked my rehearsal time when we booked the church - just to be sure we got the time slot and date we wanted.
What part of Queens are you looking for? I live in Forest Hills and can recommend a few great restaurants.
Sorry girls I had to edit this post b/c I realized I wrote 'I think in Forest Hills'. Problem is, not thinking at all this week - I miss the puppy.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
First I called the church and then i booked the dinner. The church won't always do the day that you want. I am getting married on a friday and wanted the rehearsal the night before. and they wouldn't do a thursday night because my deacon works and can't get off on thursday nights. so i would definately call the church first.

We did the same thing. We met with the church first and decided a date and time and then picked the place for the RD.
