can any recommend some place to have a rehearsal dinner, preferably in nassau and not ridiculously expensive??? my fiance's parents are coming to visit this weekend from upstate and i wanted to give them some ideas. thanks!

I had my e-party at Spumante in East Meadow. Its on Hempstead Tpke, about 2 blocks east of Nassau Colliseum. They have a private room upstairs with a bar and exclusive bathrooms. You can do sit down or buffet. No alcohol, wine & beer or full open bar. Food is Italian and FANTASTIC!!! And the pricing is not expensive compared to what I found other places charged.

We are having ours at La Viola in Syosset. My FH parents booked it, but i have also eaten there and the food is great. Plus the price is reasonable. Check out their website. La Viola

We had ours at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. It was about 37 per head which included appetizer, sit down dinner with three choices, salad, cake and unlimited open bar. And it was their private room upstairs.

i had mine at Cafe Testarossa in Syosset. Last exit heading north on the 135. They had 4 part package menus. I dont know if you've evern been there but the food is wonderful, and the service is great. Price ranges from 30 to 33 dollars per person.
I got the menu that included unlimited coffee/tea/soda, salad course, pasta course, appetizer course, entree, and a dessert choice. It was my moms birthday, so they also let me bring my own cake, which they cut and served along with everyone's dessert that they ordered.
The price isn't bad at all. Thats about average price, but this place is soooo good! Try going their for dinner one night to try it out! Good Luck.
