Rehearsal Dinner?

We are not able to use our location for a rehearsal before the wedding. It's reserved for other brides, and I don't really think we need the rehearsal anyway. Our ceremony is being held in a little library room and they go over it with us a half hour or so before (and of course I'll go over the ceremony with my minister) My FMIL wants to hold a rehearsal dinner - but without a rehearsal - I don't know if that's necessary? And I DONT want to do anything the night before except stay quiet with my FH!

Rehearsal Dinner?

Its not necessary but it is traditional and a nice way to say thank you to your wedding party. No one says it has to be the night before your wedding or that it has to be a dinner. Do what makes you and your FI happy.

I agree

We have the same situation and are having a 'rehersal/thank you' dinner at FH's aunts house...she is a chef, so it should be yummy...I will also just talk to the bridal party about order and our friend is performing the ceremony so we will work things out...
