Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I wanted to make mine for the week before, since my wedding is on a Friday. I didn't want my bridal party to have to take 2 days off work or even 1 1/2. I was just thinking about the week before, but it's 4th of July weekend. I guess I have to wait to see what the church can do too.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I think we are going to do it like on the Tuesday or so before because the weekend before is Easter so we have to work around that

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
odd question but i thought the point of the rehearsal dinner was for the OOT guests that traveled up a extra day and the BP after the rehearsal?
I am having a gathering the day before for teh OOT guests who came up a day early but other then that there is nothing going on.. am i missing the point of the dinner?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I thought the point was to celebrate the rehearsal. Depends on when the church schedules your rehearsal. If it's the week before it will be parents, grandparents and BP and if it's the day before we will include OOT guests. I wanted it the week before because if it is Thursday night, my BP has to commute to LI from work in Staten Island in the city. Some have kids so they would have to go back that night, then back to LI the next day. I think that's too much traveling and it would be easier if it were on the weekend before and they do not have to work that day.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Yeah, we have to have everyone together to meet with the priest and do a run through. Takes awhile. I just want to include everyone and I don't want them to feel pressured.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We are doing RH the day before so that OOT guests can attend and not to interupt with anyones work schedule. Luckily, no church involved...so it's just dinner =)

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Since I have OOT people in my bridal party, it will have to be the day before so they can attend
