Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We are having them all and then some. Personally if my FH wasn't invited I would be insulted.
yes talk to your friends, but maybe offer to pay for the extra people.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
our dinner is not formal and all we want is to do a quick walk through and then provide people with a quick dinner, so we are not inviting the significant others, we are only inviting those people that are walking down the aisle. None of my friends are offended by it, because we are already asking them to give up a lot of their time and we are inviting them and their significant others to a 2nd day brunch the day after the wedding.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We are. I think it gives everyone a good oppurtunity to meet so maybe they can hang out at the wedding while their spouse/sig other is busy doing their thing.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
dont think I am, just cant afford it, I am thanking those who participated in our BP...the husbands and significant others are invited to the wedding so I dont see why they would be offeneded.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We are, but our wedding party is pretty small, and many are from out of town. I would just hate for an out of town date to be left alone in a strange town while everyone else is at dinner.
Then again, our RD doesn't really include a rehearsal.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I'd lean towards yes, but if your bridal party is big I can see the conflict.
In that case, I think it's an all or none sort of rule - either you invite every date or you don't invite any. The only way I can see this potentially being offensive is if some dates outside of the bridal party are invited and others are not (outside of family, of course, because in-laws are an exception). If you're just inviting the bridal party, then I think the same rule should apply to everyone, and you should shy away from things like, 'Well, I'm closer to THIS girl's husband, and I don't really know THIS guy's girlfriend all that well, so I'll invite him but not her'.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
also remember that some of your bp's SO might not be able to make it. We had 20ppl in our bp(not including rb and fg), we invited everyone with their SO. Now some of our bp was single so also keep that in mind, do you have single people in your bp? bc it wont necessarily be double the number of ppl in the bp.
Out of my bm's, 5 were in a relationship. My moh came with her bf, another one came with her husband plus daughter which was our Jr. bridesmaid. The other 3 their bf's were working and couldnt make it on time. One bf worked in jersey so it was hard for him to make it, the other one also works further away. The rest of the girls were single
Out of our gm about 7 or 8 are in relationships. Same thing happened, about half came with their gf's or wives. I know one of our gm fiancee was working late, another worked far out in LI so hard to make it on time and the guys had to be at the church by a certain time.
We also invited our readers, rb and fg parents(rb's father was a gm so wouldve been there regardless) my grandmother, uncle and 1 oot guest
we had a total of about 45 guests...So even with having 20 bp members, and inviting their SO's, not like just bp and dates came out to 40ppl. Like i said, some are single and some of their SO's might not be able to make it, i also attended another RD a few months before ours and some of the bm and gm in that wedding their SO wasnt able to make it.
