Do you send formal invitations to the RD, or just let everyone know? We are most likely having it at a Chinese Buffet in a private room two nights before the wedding.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I think you can do it either way, especially if it's a pretty small guest list. My fiance's family is throwing the RD and I think they'll be sending out formal (but not actually really formaly - more like cutesy) invitations to their guests b/c it's a pretty big guest list.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We sent out formal invites, it was not anything special. DH family put together a dinner at a Greek restaurant.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
With all the other things I was worrying about, sending formal RD invites was the last thing on my mind! I just sent an e-mail to everybody. Actually I don't think anyone in my family or close friends has done formal invites. It's a nice touch if you want to do it, but by no means necessary.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We didnt send any. Everyone at the church obviously knew they were invited to the dinner, and we just told the other family/ OOT when/where it was. I dont think they are 100% necessary, but do what you feel.
