So this Friday is my rehearsal dinner, do I have to make a speech or anything like that? Does anybody? Is this just a chance to give out presents to parents and the bridal party? I haven't actually been to a rehearsal dinner before and just realized other than eating I dont know what is supposed to go on at this dinner.

Re: rehearsal dinner ?
At our rehearsal dinner I will be making a little speech; thanking everyone for being apart of our special day and to give everyone a basic timeline. Also, since we are having the ceremony at the RH and wont be having an actually run-through, I'm going to tell everyone who will be walking down the isle together. That way the day off people will just know who to link up with when they say to line up!

I don't know if you HAVE to make a toast, but if you wanted to, this is the time to do that. You might want to take the opportunity to thank your parents, bridal party and anyone who has been there for you throughout the entire process. You won't be making any speeches at your wedding...

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something big. With less than a week to go I am convinced I must be missing something somewhere...

Re: rehearsal dinner ?
No one made any speeches at my RD. We just did the rehearsal and the gifts. It was very relaxed and low key.

I planned to, but I drank too much wine and forgot!
