OK, here is my problem. I am not sure who you are supposed to invite to the rehearsal dinner. I have a pretty small family, but they are not all involved in the wedding.
I have FH and I plus our bridal party (26 people) Both sets of parents (4) My grandma (1) My aunt (moms sister) is doing a reading, plus her husband (2)
Now here is the problem.... My dad only has one sister, and I feel funny not inviting her and her husband. My mom has another sister that will be traveling her from North Carolina (plus her husband). I have a cousin traveling from North Carolina (plus her husband) and a cousin traveling from Arizona (plus his wife). Then FH has a cousin with a husband and a daughter. (That is all he has for family).
My first reaction is just invite everyone. They are all family! But this is 63 people....is that too many? What would you girls do?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
In your situation I would probably end up inviting them all. Can you do your RD a little more low key?

What is SO? And that would basically be everyone except my aunt and uncle and FH's cousin. So might as well invite them all.

I just counted. if we did a rehearsal dinner with this rule it would be a little over 150. All my cousins and aunts and uncles are OOT and all def. coming so are all my FIL Our biggest thing is that the rehearsal is day of and FIL's wont be in until day before wedding anyway. We are doing the weekend prior dinner with the bridal party and S.O.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I didn't know if your issue with inviting them all was what type of place/cost, so maybe something at home or a pre-fixe type place where you can control it or familt style.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
No price/cost is not a concern. I just dont want it to be out of control big. I feel like 63 people is a lot.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I think what you had in mind originally is fine. I personally think that the all OOT guests thing was something that was fine when there were like 5 people and most families stayed in the same areas. Nowadays families are so spread out, if you invite Everyone it's like you are having 2 weddings. Keep it simple.
