I'm a little lost. Who is invited to the rd and who pays for it? Also does anyone have a good suggestion for somewhere to have it in the western suffolk area or eastern nassau area? Somewhere nice, but not too expensive that could accomodate approx. 30 people if i am guessing correctly about who is invited haha! Thanks girls!!!

Re: rehearsal dinner
Usually, the people who are invited to the RD are the immediate families of the bride and groom, along with anyone who is participating in the ceremony: the wedding party, readers, etc. I believe it is traditional for the groom's family to pay for the rehearsal dinner, but I would guess that nowadays it differs couple to couple! HTH! Edited to add: A lot of times, people also include the out of town guests!

Re: rehearsal dinner
We are having ours at Torcellos in East Northport. Their food is amazing and they are extremely reasonable. I would recommend picking a restaurant near your church or venue.

Re: rehearsal dinner
It use to be the that parents of the groom paid for it but that was also when the parents of the bride paid for the wedding.
We paid for the wedding ourself and that also included the rehersal dinner. We had it at 56 Fighters Group in Farmingdale which is where we had our first date. We had the bridal party and our aunts and uncles and that is it.
