Rehearsal Dinner

Hi Ladies!!

My church is in East Islip. I am doing my rehearsal the Thursday night (the night before my wedding). I am doing church at 6 rehearsal at 7ish.

I am between Babylon Carriage House (upstairs open room) very modern, beautiful place great reputation but I am hesitant of the bar beneath me. It karaoke night during the summer they 'say' it starts at 10:00 but it is a Thursday in the summer and it gets a large bar scene so I am concerned about the noise affecting the upstairs.

2nd choice the Victorian Room in Bayshore (owned by Milk & Sugar) completely private not as modern but very beautiful. Menus a bit bigger and cheaper then carriage house!

Any feed back? We want to book ASAP!

Any summer brides book yet?

Rehearsal Dinner - Long Island Weddings

I'm a summer bride 8/24 but I haven't even gotten to this yet! I love M&S but I'm in love with Carriage House! it's FH and I's date spot and the food is amazing. Although I think at the M&S place you will get a more intimate setting :)

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

Oye I can't even start thinking about this yet lol

The only thing I can say is at a Rehearsal dinner there is usually speeches and gift giving, and a chance for everyone to talk. I think the more private/quieter place would be best for that.

I haven't been to either of them but based soley on what you're saying I would go with the Victorian Room. It's completely private and you're getting more for your money. I would be furious if I could hear someone belting out 'Don't Stop Believing' while one of my loved ones was trying to give a speech LOL

I know someone who is having an Engagement party at the Victorian Room. From what I've heard it was beautiful & affordable. :)

Rehearsal Dinner - Long Island Weddings

The church I am getting married at is in Bay Shore. I am strongly considering Milk and Sugar for our rehearsal dinner as well, which will be on a Thursday. My other options are Molly Malone's, Irish Coffee Pub, Babylon Carriage House and Beachtree. Have to go get info about their packages and pricing with FH's mom and grandma. They want to book by the end of this year.

I would definitely go with the more private setting. I wouldn't want to feel like I had to compete with loud music at my RD. Just my opinion though.

Rehearsal Dinner - Long Island Weddings

Thursday nights isn't as crazy as other nights at Carriage House. I had my Birthday party upstairs awhile back. At the time I wanted a place to party after. My friend had her shower at the Victorian Room and they did an amazing job. They had 2 showers going on both were very private. The food was great and went above and beyond for us. I would go with Victorian. Good Luck
