Besides the obvious BCBG and Nicole Miller, where else can I find a dress for the rehearsal dinner? I'd prefer something less expensive but still good quality that I can wear to someone else's wedding one day.... But I don't know where to go and I want to play around looking on the internet today since I have a snow day. Any ideas?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Dresses...
youre looking more for a blouse i think, i know what youre talking about. This is no sleeves but KINDA similar to what you want not exactly though
on macys and bloomies site they have those pin tucked blouses but none really with the bow to the side, they have it with ruffles or more of a plain pin tucked blouse and pencil type skirt

Espo- I love this asos site! Thanks for telling me about it!
i know they have cute, funky type styles and most of them are great prices. Definitely not things you see at every store. You're welcome

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Dresses...
So how short is too short for a rehearsal dinner? I have become a giant prude since becoming a teacher. I never wear things that are shorter than knee length and I think I want to go a little shorter... but I don't want the priest looking at me like i am a skank....
Those dresses are sort of like what I mean. Let me try and find a shirt that will show it....
Thanks for helping :)

i will say just above the knee is the shortest, but like hitting the top of your knee. YOu probably dont want to go any shorter than that. When looking at the size guide look at the length of the dress. I have to do that bc some dresses look short on those 5'10 models but im 5'2 so on me its a completely different story. Ive bought dresses that long short on models in a pic but on me its long or perfect length lol

Nevermind can't find a pic. I thought that girl might have a pic in her dress on facebook. Yeah thats true. I'm only (almost!) 5'4' so none of those dresses would probably be too short on me lol.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Dresses...
espo... if you are still reading this post... how cute is this dress????
it is cute. Maybe in the church you can wear a small tight fitted cardigan over it so the back doesnt show and at the dinner take off the cardigan. I did something similar for mine. I had a halter type 50's dress on, and didnt want my back opened so at the church i had on a small cardigan and then took it off after

Yeah I was thinking that I should cover the back. It might look funny in the church because the sweater and the bow in the back would look weird together. I could do a pashmina too. There are a lot of other dresses I found that I like on here. I love that one though :) But I have my two weddings besides mine coming up and two showers (one is mine)... I need a few dresses. I love that you showed me this site. You are the bestest

yeah you can do a wrap, OR do a small cardigan. I had one that was short, 3 quarter sleeve and tight so this way it wouldnt look weird with the back.
Maybe for your bachelorette party you can wear it lol
awwww youre very welcome

Haha... I'm such a tomboy that my bachelorette is going to be in the Poconos... renting a house for the weekend and going to a waterpark one day :) I'm sure the dress would come in handy though... Like New Years and stuff.

One last time I'm bugging you I swear :)
I sent you an FM to see if you could try and help me figure out what size to order. I didn't want to post my measurements on the internet lol. I promise I'll stop bothering you after that!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Dresses...
I just wanna wear a dress because I never wear them. I love dresses but I'm a teacher and schools never regulate their heat properly so I need pants... plus I can't do heels and teaching! But I'm normally a jeans girl myself.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Dresses...
I love Victoria's Secret's dresses....some of them are a little short, though. I bought this dress (in pink champagne) from a store in the Hamptons last summer. It's one of those dresses you can wear 100 different ways. So, if you wear it to your rehearsal dinner one way, you could wear it again to a wedding a different way ;)
