For the rehearsal dinner is everyone inviting the bridal party plus there significant others? Is it tacky just to invite the bridal party and not there significant others? I feel like its becomes so many people that its basically a mini wedding!

IMO it's definitely tacky to not invite the dates

its really up to you budget. but i would invite the guests. its a good time for them to meet other people -- especially since their dates will be preoccupied with BP duty the next day!

i would say you should invite them with dates. i know my friend wouldnt be happy if i invited her but not her husband. But what we decided to do (partially for money reasons and partially bc we are having a jewish wedding so we dont need to do a rehearsal) is do an OOT dinner instead. this way none of the bridal party will be invited.

For our RD, the BP will be invited with their significant others as well as the readers

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Etiquette
I say definitely invite significant others. Actually, when I was in my BFF's wedding 5 years ago, DH was invited to her RD. Another girl in the BP was bringing her boyfriend (at the time, now her DH), so we kept saying the two would just hang out together. Well, they instantly hit it off and spent the entire wedding together and are now like best friends, lol.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Etiquette
my issues is money, my FMIL was gracious and offered her home and to cook, if I invite SO it will be about 40 people and their kids and her house isnt huge and that is alot to ask her to cook for that many. I am not sure if my family (mom, sister) would be willing to chip in a dish or food because they will be at the rehearsal and I have them doing so many other things that week for the weddings.
So, my question is, how do I invite just the bridal party and readers which is 20+ people.
