Re: Rehearsal Dinner for Jews???
Traditionally Jews do not have rehearsal dinners, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having one if you want! We did a 2 minute run through right before our ceremony and it worked out fine.
Re: Rehearsal Dinner for Jews???
no rehearsal dinner. Sometimes if there will be a dinner the night before if you have a lot of out of town guests to invite them. but never heard of a rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal takes place right before ceremony. no need to rehearse its pretty simple the bridal attendant will tell you what to do.
Re: Rehearsal Dinner for Jews???
it's not traditional but nowadays it more of a thank you to your bridal party for all of their help so i think it's a great thing to do at least the dinner

she's right. The reason for the rehearsal dinner is because catholic people will rehearse at the church. Nowadays, more people are married in RH's so even if there is no rehearsal, catholics still have a rehearsal dinner because it is customary. I think it's pretty recent that jewish people picked up on having 'rehearsal dinners' but it's typically just a dinner the night before, or a few days before. We had a 'pre-wedding luncheon'

I had one, but it was more to thank my BP and my OOT guests and we did go over a few things before the wedding then the traditional rehersal . Mine was friday night and I got married on a Saturday night

We had a Rehearsal Dinner, I think its a personal choice. We wanted a way to kick off the wedding weekend and to welcome guests who were travelling from out of the town. I'm really glad we did it b/c it gave me a chance to talk to people when I didn't really have time to during the reception. I also felt it relaxed us before the big day and got us used to the idea being the hosts.
