Rehearsal Dinner- Help!!!

Hello again...

I am going through absolutely hell trying to plan our rehearsal dinner. His fam is in Babylon, mine in Port Jeff- church is in Sound Beach- we have a huge wedding party (23) and a lot of out of towners so we need a place that can accommodate a big group- prob is his father will only give us $1000 for the dinner... any ideas on where??? I appreciate your help!!!

Not sure where sound beach is, but if you wanted to go near babylon, I would check out the Post Office . .or there is the Library in Farmingdale.

Irish Coffee Pub isn't that badly priced for an RD. . .there is a thread on rehearsal dinner locations and prices, i will bump it for you . .

Is a BBQ an option? You can get it catered and have beer and wine and alcohol . . It would be cheaper than a restaurant. . .

I had a similar situation with friends/families coming from different areas... I personally opted to keep the dinner location near enough to the church to be convenient after rehearsal, but also close a major highway or road (LIE for me) for everyone to be able to just jump on easily afterwards.

(My church was kings park, I had my dinner at the Bonwitt, and guests coming from both out east and west, from Glen Cove)
