Rehearsal Dinner Help

Rehearsal Dinner Help

Looking to have a RD for about 40 people on a Saturday night. Someplace either near Woodbury or Syosset or Plainview. Not looking to break the bank. Something that has a private room is a must!

Thanks!

It is a little over from where you are looking...but in Williston Park there is a pizzarea that has a private room called Gino's. I fellow LIW'er told me about it...the food is good and it's not a place to break the bank. I was not trying to spend $1000 on a RD. It's 7pp for soda, coffee, tea, (more for alcohol) and then you can order by tray. (which we are doing). The private room has it's own entrance and bathroom.

Good luck!

How about Mim's in Syosset? I know they have a minimum though, since they don't have separate private rooms you would have the whole restaurant.

Hey ladies,

While we're on the subject of RD is it inappropiate that everyone pay for their own meal. We've spent so much already, and unfortunatly we don't have the pleassure of parents paying for or helping with our wedding. Or should we just suck it up and pay for it ourselves

I'm sorry but IMO it's tacky. You could always not do it or do it low key like BBQ or something small in a house

I agree. The purpose of the RD is to thank those that are involved in the wedding. I would do something low key in someone's house as well. IMO if I was in a wedding and they were telling me I had to pay for myself at the RD, I probably wouldn't go. Sorry!

ITA.

We're having ours at my FH's parents house. And his brother is a chef, so he's going to cater. We were looking to have the RD be casual anyway and give everyone (including ourselves) a chance to relax.

I love Mim's. If we could have afforded an e-party they would have been mine & FH's first choice!

OF COURSE IT IS INAPPROPIATE!
You can't 'Invite' guest and expect them to pay if u are inviting them to ur RD....

If u dont have the money then better DONT have a rehearsal at all!...
We are saving for our rehearsal dinner n we are going to my BM's house to do it... I wish my paretns would help but they are helping a lot with the wedding...
or the Inlaws but they are not paying anything/...

So u should start saving if not dont have one...
