I'm trying to help the ILs out with picking a place for the RD. FH & I live in Bayside and church is in Bayside, but Fh's parents live in Suffolk. Most of the BP lives in queens or OOT. We're looking for a place with a private room or at least semi private to hold between 30-40 ppl (not too expensive). We're thinking somewhere in Nassau would work...it's on the saturday before the wedding...dinner would be about 5:30 or 6.
Any suggestions?? I guess we'd prefer Italian food.

If you want to got o queens I would suggest portofino in forest hills
i think there is a nice italian place called la parma in oceanside (there are a few but that one is best)

I know lots of places in Queens, but since Fh's parents are hosting it, they really want Nassau (PITAs!!)

We just had my sister's bridal shower this past Saturday at Finn MacCools in Port Washington. Private room fits about 40-50 I think. (We had about 35). VERY reasonably priced, excellent staff, food was great, the room is super pretty!!

I really like Piccolo Bussolo on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola... my sister recently had her engagement party there. There is a private room and they have really good food!!

Check out Angelina's in Lynbrook. Right near the border of queens so it wouldn't be too far. Delicious Italian food and very reasonably priced. They have a cute private room.

I would check out Peppercorns in Hicksville, the food and atmosphere are great!!!

Angelina's is good - also try Pompei in West Hempstead.
