It depends on your price range. Mirabelle (french) and Vintage Steak House in St. James...both very nice, but very $$. Casa Rustica is also good- I think that's Smithtown.
For less $$ there is Bella Vita, Garden Grill (I had my shower there and they did a nice job), Polini's, Lotus East (chinese), Cafe La Strada (Happauge, but good and not too far).
There's more, but that's all I can think of off of the top of my head.

I have heard sweetwaters in smithtown is good, but I don't know how big it is.

i had my reheasal in smithtown and the dinner was at the three village inn. It was great!!!!

I attended a RD at Three Village Inn and I liked it better than this person's wedding! LOL It was great.

Between Bella Vita and Sweetwaters, I'd pick Bella Vita! I've never had something there that I didnt like.
Good choices!!! La Famiglia is probably my 1st choice.

Corner of Brooksite and Jericho in Smithtown - right across the street from DD/Baskin Robins and the Pit gas station.
EXCELLENT family style food. They throw a great party. I've had work and personal functions there.
