I'm looking for a place for rehearsal dinner, in Suffolk (around Stonybrook, Pt. Jeff) that's reasonably priced. Any suggestions?

I had mine at the Garden Grill in Smithtown (it is close to St. James and StonyBrook) It was great!! Everyone told me how good everything was. They have special menus for all different occasions. It was pretty reasonable in price. Hope this helps.. Good Luck

Is Garden Grill expensive? I had suggested Printer's Devil to my FMIL, I'll also suggest Portico. Please keep suggestions coming! Thanks.

My FIL's took everyone out to the Garden Grill to celebrate our engagement last year. I really loved the place. The food was great & the place is decorated so nicely. FH had a relapse of a stomach virus that night so he really didn't get to enjoy it. I have told him we HAVE to go back there so he can REALLY enjoy it.

I am in the process of doing the same thing. Here is some info that I have gotten:
Three Village Inn: $35pp (631) 751-0555
Danfords on the Sound: $27.95 plus 19% service charge. If you want unlimited Beer and Wine it is an additional $12 pp 1-800-332-6367
Coutry House: $60pp
Garden Grille: $23 or $28 pp (depending on the menu you choose) For the unlimited wine and beer it is an additional $10 per adult
Bella Vita City Grille: $27.95pp
Thats all I have so far, but it's a start.

We had ours at the Portico. It was very nice. I would highly recommend it.

No I am sorry I did not write them down. They were really nice to me on the phone though and explained what would bve served. On the 23 pp deal there isa choice 4 entrees and on the 28 there is a choice of6.

I have to throw in my 2 cents since I live in the area. My vote goes to Casa Rustica and Bella Vita. Loooove those restaurants.

Pasta Pasta is our favorite restaurant out in suffolk but I think the FIs are not looking to spend that much - what are the prices like at casa rustica and portico?

I had told my FMIL about Mario's, i like that place so hopefully she'll check it out. I think they were surprised at how much money they were charging per person and then the additional charge for alcohol. She left me a message this morning asking me if its okay that the rehearsal dinner be 12 - 4 pm!!! I'm like, no, it's not okay. If you don't want to do this for us, just tell us!! I really didn't want to be involved at all w/ this.
