Rehearsal dinner is booked – and my church is trying to give me a heart attack!

So last night, one week before the rehearsal, we booked our rehearsal dinner. It took so long because of our wonderful Crazy Church Lady, who I’ve vented about numerous times.

It took me about 10 unanswered phone calls to finally get in touch with her, and then it turned out that she’ll be on vacation the week of our wedding so someone else would have to do our rehearsal instead. She assured me that the priest that’s marrying us would do the rehearsal and even called back the next day to confirm. So I stupidly assumed I could FINALLY check that off the list.

Well guess what? We met with the priest last night and he had NO IDEA he was supposed to do our rehearsal! We would have showed up there next Wednesday and no one would have been there!!!

I never thought that dealing with the church would be the most stressful part of planning a wedding!

Sorry to say but I think your church might s*ck more than mine!! Geez!! Sorry

I do agree the church is def. the most stressful part for me so far. I haven't even met my priest yet and he can't meet us until late August.. ugh

My church did this when my sister got married. She had her rehersal scheduled for the Thursday before her wedding. They called her up like one week before and said there had been a mistake and 'there was another rehersal scheduled for Thursday' so she had to do it on Friday, the night before the wedding, which was the last thing she wanted.
I ams ooo paranoid they are going to do something similar to me.
(The pastor hates my family... bad blood haha)
