I got quoted $55 per person for food, drinks, tip, tax for a rehearsal dinner for approx 25 people in a private room. Does this sound like an average cost or should I still be shopping around? What kind of quotes is every one else getting?

I think ours is $49 with top shelf drinks, private room and bartender, 4 courses, tip and tax.

That's on the high side, depending on what kind of atmosphere you want...is it really fancy? Mine was around $30, but we're running a tab for drinks.

ours is under 20 pp for food, grauity and the private room.
We are adding beer, wine and soda and doing a tab for mixed drinks.

that sounds high to me, but a lot of places did give FMIL that quote. a lot of places were also $29 and under.

we paid $49 pp with alcohol and 3 course means with a private room, so I think its defiantly a good price

I am going to my RD venue tomorrow night so I am not sure of exact price, however, I think we are at about $45 p/person in a private room.

Speaking of RD's....can anyone recommend a place in Babylon or in the surrounding towns?
I like the Carriage House, but a little more than we wanted to spend....

That sounds too high. Ours is$25/person. Ours includes wine and beer, but not mixed drinks and it is right at East Winds.
Plus, they did not require a deposit since I am having the wedding there.

I think that sounds a bit high for a RD.. Try looking at other places.
