Rehearsal Dinner Location

We are getting married in Long Beach (at the Allegria) over Labor Day weekend and looking for a great place to host our rehearsal dinner that isn't too far out of the way. We were considering somewhere in Oceanside or somewhere on the water in Freeport (we love the ocean but aren't opposed to not having the view for the night before). My fiance and I live in CT and aren't too familiar with whats good down there. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am from that area - some suggestions I have are:

Oceanside: Mio Posto or Sole

Long Beach: LoLa's / Cafe Laguna / Duke Falcon's

Point Lookout: Fisherman's Catch (on the water)

Island Park: Paddy McGees or Coyote Grill (both on water)

Hope that is at least a starting point :)

Freeport and Island Park are currently under construction due to Hurricane Sandy. I am sure they will be open for your wedding but for the time being you will need to hold off.

Try La Parma (Oceanside) family style

Rockville Centre also has a lot of restaurants (about 20 mins away)

Serata in Long Beach...great Atmosphere and food is really good!
Mio Posto in Oceanside is also a good place to have it.

I'm from Oceanside and Sole is my FAVORITE restaurant. It was spared by the hurricane.
