Rehearsal Dinner Locations in or around Howard Beach

Hi all!
Well I am getting married in Howard Beach (at my parents church) and I was thinking about where I could host my rehearsal dinner. All I could come up with was carousello's and roma view...I know there are lots of good places on cross bay, but I am drawing a complete blank. All I can think of is Le Nora's and Matteo's but I have never had dinner at either of those places, Anyone have any recommendations? TIA!

Matteo is pretty good, my favorite place in Howard Beach to eat is Mahogany Room, FH and I go there at least 2-3 times a year thats where he proposed . Hope that helps

Thanks for the info, I am going to check out the Mahogany Room, is that on cross bay? I have never heard of it, Geeze you would think living in queens my whole life and being in HB as much as I have, would know a million places, lol!

It is right next to Prima Pasta and Burger king in HB

My brother lives in Howard Beach! I've been to Matteo's - right off the Belt on Cross Bay. It was really good. The restaurant is pretty on the inside too.

All of the restaurants you've mentioned are on Cross Bay. Matteo's is very good! Prima Pasta is great and very affordable. Roma View- just went to my future nephew's Communion there- food and service was fabulous! Never been to the Mahoghany Room but always wanted to go! Get Helen on the case!!

i have to second Roma View. I had my engagement party there. its the same owners as Russos, just a smaller venue.

Meem- I LOVE Lenora's, but I'm thinking for your RD- it might be a little smallish. But definitely check it out anyway. Mike wanted to have ours at Danny's Schezuan!!! I told him no since his parents are footing the bill, I thought it might be too much there's also Vincent's Clam Bar, or Lenny's Clam Bar.

Go to www.howardbeach.com, click on the Exit 17 sign and it has a block by block listing of all the stores on Crossbay.

Roma View isnt the same owners as Russo's but Carosello is.
We just had my dad's retirement party there. The food was sooooo good and it was really reasonable. Most likely where will be having our RD

All the restaurants mentioned are really good - My favorites are Matteos & Carosello. We're having our RD at Joe Abbraciamento's (it's on Woodhaven Blvd in Rego Park, not too far from Howard Beach).
