When are you having your rehearsal dinner? I just scheduled the rehearsal at my Church for the thursday before my wedding (2 days before) because my FMIL was driving me nuts already asking for the date. She said she assumed it would be friday because most brides have it the night before. That doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Why would you stress yourself out like that and stay up late the night before the wedding?

We did it on Friday more for the people in our wedding. Rehearsals are usually around 6pm, which means some people have to leave work early (especially those in the city). So we figured it was easier for us to do it the night before. We weren't stressed at all.

this was a big battle for me as well, i REFUSED to have it the night before the wedding...FMIL thinks it is very inconvenient for people to have to come out on a thursday night and then saturday (a lot of OOT people). however, i say if people can't come, don't come! (not in a rude way, but really, who needs to rehearse besides the bride, groom, MOH and BM?) so i won that one! (i've lost so many other battles though.... )

My FMIL was in my back about this (it's the only thing that she even concerned herself with, she has no idea what our wedding is consisting of) Since our wedding is on a sunday I wanted it 2 nights before (fri). I would not have it the night before. I feel it's way too much.

Our ceremony was Sat morning, then we had an afternoon reception. I had hairdressers and makeup artist coming to my Mom's at 5 that morning. So, I had my RD the Thursday night.
My husband liked it that way b/c he was able to drink and relax and hang out late with his friends that had come into town for the wedding without worrying about getting to bed early. Then Friday he was more focused on the wedding and was able to relax that night.

I had mine 2 Fridays before my wedding. I couldn't get everyone together and plus I think it was better that way 'cause I didn't have to deal with a Rehearsal Dinner right before my wedding -- too many things going on.
I am not 100% positive but I believe on the paper I have at home that the preist gave me, it suggested 2 weeks before.

First, I would not want to have it the night before either. We are getting married on the Sat after Thanksgiving, so we thought and the father suggested that we have the rehearsal the week before wedding.

We set our rehearsal for the night before (Friday) to accommodate OOT BP members and other OOT family...I hope to be enough in control of things so that I don't stress out about having other things to attend to that night..but I'm sure that's wishful thinking!

My church has specific dates that they hold them on... Wed ..for friday weddings Thur...for sat weddings Fri....sunday weddings

We switched churches so I don't remember if it was this church or our old one that said thursday or friday. I think the other church said friday the day before for the week before.
I wouldn't have had it 2 days before, 3/4 of our bridal party is out of town, so I didn't want them to have to miss extra school or work.
Ours is at 7, so I am trying to avoid a real rehearsal dinner so it doesn't end really late.
