Rehearsal Dinner Suggestions...Out of Town Bride, please help :)

Hi,

You all are so wonderful. I don't post much, but read everyday. I'm in need of some help. I'm from out of state and my FIL's are from Staten Island. I am in need of a good Italian restaurant near Westbury Manor or Fox Hollow Inn to have the rehearsal dinner. Preferably something reasonably priced that could hold about 35 people. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

maybe stresa east in syosset on jericho turnpike, just down the road from the fox hollow inn?
their website is www.stresa-east.com

i've also heard that coolfish (in syosset too, i think on jericho) and passionfish (on the oyster bay golf course right across from stresa east) are excellent.

it's the passionfish site with a link to coolfish. (same chef).

Coolfish is great but it is not italian. I would go to La Bussola in Glen Cove.

I don't think stresa will be considered reasonable - I think they run 60$ and up -

Coolfish is great - I would recommend them - but as stated above they are not italian - they are 45$ a person and 6$/per hour/per person for beer and wine.

What about 7th street cafe - it is owned by the scotto brothers - and runs about 30-40 a person

We're having ours at La Viola in Syosset by the train station. It has excellent Italian food. Cafe Baci on Old Country Rd. is also very good!
