Is it weird to have the rehearsal dinner a week before the wedding..my family says its a good idea, and part of me wants to do that so its not the night before my wedding..but it seems weird to me..is anyone else doing this??? tia

i wish we could do it early, but all the BP is from out of town, so we have to do it the night before.

Luckily all my bp is in ny..but i hear you,...the night before is kind of annoying, but it seems weird to me to do it a week before too!

mine is the week before.. and the priest said if someone cant make it its not a big deal they can run through it before the wedding no biggie... i know my brother wont be able to make it and thats pretty much it.. its just a whole heck of a lot less stressful!

Not werid at all... my BM did this and it was actually really fun b/c everyone was really relaxed and having a good time

i don't see why that would be a problem. i am having mine two days before my wedding, hoping we can stay relaxed heading into the wedding day.

I don't think it's weird...
We're having ours the night before. All my BP is in NY too! I'm not changing it though b/c it FORCES me to get my shitt together before then.

mine is 2 days before i kinda wish it was a week before there is so much running around that week im going to be on rollerskates and super hyper i get that way when im stressed so i know i probably wont be able to enjoy the dinner with my family and friends

not weird! i was going to have mine the week before but only changed it to 2 days before because i want my sister from FL to be there.. so if you can do it the week before then why not? i say do it

My brother's rehearsal dinner was 3 weeks before the wedding! The date was determined by the church, so there was nothing he could do about it, and to tell you the honest truth it worked out a bit better for us in the end since we had time to do other things right before the wedding.
