Rehearsal Dinners
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
i booked the church about 3 months in advance and the restaurant 2 months in advance. I'm the only wedding at the church that weekend, so I knew there was no rush, but you should probably do it as soon as you can so you get the night you want.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
We booked our RD in October (for JUly) since FH's parents were visiting and looking at places, church rehearsal got booked in March.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
I booked the church a couple of months ago (for Sept 30th), but haven't looked at RD places yet. My goal is to pick a place by the end of May.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
I booked my church right after precana was over which was march and we also booked our rehearsal dinner at that time too. I like to have things done in advance.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
We actually booked the ceremony and the rehearsal this weekend...for a year and a half from know. So we got first dibs on the day and time. I think I'll be waiting a long time before I worry about the dinner part.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
I think you should just book the church as soon as you know the date you want. You can always change it, but it would be horrible to find out that it was booked up because you were waiting.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
In our case, they wouldn't let us schedule the church until 3 months before the wedding. I tried calling to reserve a time and the person wasn't there. I should have stayed on top of it because by the time she called me (she never got the message) there was only Thursday at 8:30 left! They usually do the rehearsals the Thursday night before the wedding, but I would have preferred an earlier time, especially since I only had a MOH and BM. Stay on top of the church for it.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
5 months for the restaurant.
Re: Rehearsal Dinners
Booked the rehearsal time with the church immediately after booking our wedding date (we wanted to have the RD two nights before the wedding). Looking at RD venues now (ca. 6 months in advance).
