Rehearsal - If marrying at the hall!

Original post by nserig1

Ladies,

May seem like a silly question, but do you do a rehearsal if you are getting married at the reception hall? Do the halls let you use the grounds the day/night before the wedding?

I just called the officiant but had to leave a message. Any thoughts?

My BP is so small, just us, MOH, FG and BM.
We will do a run-down of the processional/recessional either before we take pics or before the ceremony.

Ask the RH if they will let you do a rehersal. Keep in mind that events do take place during the week at many RH.

We are still having a traditional RD, just without the rehersal. A time to relax before the wedding and for us to give the BP their gifts.

Our RH gives an hour in the week before for a rehersal. A few in our bridal party are from out of town so I don't think we'll use it.

I have 10 girls in my BP so I'd like some sort of organization but I think we're going to have to wing it.

Our hall told us that we don't need one but I beg to differ

We will do the rehearsal in our backyard. Then we are having the rehearsal dinner at a resturant.

My FH parents live in Queens so we thought it was a good idea to do something, like the dinner in his neighborhood since the wedding was out on LI. What do you girls think??

We would probably do it a few nights before because I have a morning wedding.

UGH, Can't make one decision.

Ours has said we can do it, but FH and I haven't decided yet if we will. Some of the poeple who are part of the wedding are driving 1.5 hours and don't plan to stay the night.

I feel kinda bad asking them to do 3 hours of driving 2 days in a row.

yeah i would feel bad too. that's a lot of driving to have to deal with just to be told 'okay you walk here, and then you walk back'. i really think you'll be okay if you dont' have one the nite before...cause no matter what...the matire d' WILL go over it again the day of the wedding.
