Rehearsal invites

Rehearsal invites

So when the times comes, I'm going to order invites from weddingpaperdivas.com to send to the bridal party and immediate family.

How do I word the invite....Most of the invites I've seen say 'please join us for a rehearsal dinner'....the thing is, we are rehearsing at the church first and THEN going to dinner. does it sound wierd to say 'join us for a wedding rehearsal honoring me and FH' listing the name and address of the church and time to meet and then somewhere on the bottom of the card write 'dinner immediately following' or something like that???

How are you other church girls doing this?

Re: Rehearsal invites

FH's parents are paying for our rehearsal dinner. Not sure if we're doing invites, but if we do, I think it will be something like:

Join us to celebrate with
(Bride's name) and (Groom's name)
at their rehearsal dinner
on Friday, November 11th

6:00 PM rehearsal
(Church name)
(Church address)

Dinner to follow
Hosted by FFIL and FMIL
(Rehearsal restaurant name)
(Rehearsal restaurant address)

Please RSVP by November 1
(phone number)

David popped the question, and Lindsey said 'Yes'
All the planning is over from the hall to the dress
Only one thing remains for this day to be great
'Practice makes Perfect'
September 25th is the date
We'll practice the ceremony,
and iron out the kinks
Then it's off to the Peachtree Cafe
for some dinner and drinks!

Please join the bride and groom-to-be
at 7 o'clock, St. Mary's Church

Are you guys doing the invites or are you letting your FMIL do them? My FMIL asked me but I said I would rather do them myself lol.

FMIL ordered them, and she did the copy, but just asked me if I was ok with it. It said:

Please join us for the rehearsal of Jillian and Greg
Date, time, church details, etc.

Dinner immediately following
Restaurant details
