What do you girls think of having a Rehearsal Luncheon instead of dinner? It would be on a Saturday afternoon in August, since my Wedding is on a Sunday. Is that annoying for guests?

I can't think why it would be annoying for guests. Plus you might be able to save a few bucks as well!

I don't think so. I think that's a great idea!!
Plus - then you don't have to worry about the dinner ending late on Saturday night and you'll get to have a restful evening before your big day!

That is exactly what I was thinking!! I'm going to hang out at a hotel with my mom the night before the wedding and she will definitely be HOUNDING me to get sleep. I figured if I had a dinner in the city it would run way too late.

I'm having a rehearsal luncheon, although not exactly for the reason you are but I see nothing wrong with that.

I think it would depend on when your actual rehearsal was? If your rehearsal was the night before, and then they had to come BACK for a luncheon, then I think it would be a nuisance. IF your rehearsal is also sat afternoon, then i dont see any issue.

Anything goes, it is your wedding and you need to do what works. We are not even able to do a rehearsal, long story, so we're doing a Thank You Brunch the next morning instead.

I wish we had thought of that - our rehearsal dinner can't be until 8:30 at night because we couldn't find anyone who would do it on a Saturday before that.
