i think the earlier u can do it, the better. we did 630 with dinner right after. we didnt want people to be too tired for the wedding day...

friday night. that's what i was thinking but then what about my nieces and nephews? they're 10, 6, 2.9, and 1 week (right now lol). I feel like earlier is better for kids but worse for working folk.
RD is about 1.5 miles from church.

How far is the RD place from the church? If you have to travel a bit, I'd say 5:30. Especially since the BP is OOT. It's not like they'll have to leave work early or anything.

Re: rehearsal time/rehearsal dinner time
I say 6 with dinner immediately following - between 7 and 7:15. That's not too late for the kids in your BP and still gives people some time to get there from work.

Re: rehearsal time/rehearsal dinner time
when are your oot bp coming in? the day before the rd or the morning of?
did you book a place for the rd? how far is it from the church? how long is the rd for?
i say have the rehersal at 530. that extra 1/2 hour will help. you dont want it to be a late night the day before your big day.
hope i didnt make your head hurt with all the questions

Answers:
1. Don't know. Bear.
2. No i have it tentatively booked (owners are friends, used to work there) but figured i should book with the church before finalizing a time. it's about 1.5 miles from the church. hopefully the RD will be like 5 minutes. HOW LONG ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE?????
3. Bear.

Re: rehearsal time/rehearsal dinner time
i would do 6pm for working people and the dinner like 7:30. i have kids in my BP (6, 4, 4, 3, 3) and only one kid is staying for the dinner. the others are being picked up form teh restuarant. they really only need to be there for the actual rehearsal

we're just having it at a restaurant - i feel like it's going to be however long it takes us to eat. the bridal party consists of:
3 lawyers 2 teachers 2 people in 'finance' 1 RN/NP
And a partridge in a pear tree.
Just spoke to the OOT, they'll be in either late thursday night or early friday.

I would do 6pm rehearsal, dinner at 7/7:15pm whenever you get there (if you're having gparents go, then make a set time).
I've been to a ton of rehearsals and unless someone is a big stickler for rules, you're in and out in 45 min.

i would do 6 just to give people enough time to get out of work and travel there
