Rehersal Breakfast? - long.. need opinion/idea
Do you think this is a dumb idea?
So we are getting married on a Friday (7pm) and taking pics before hand at 4. Girls are scheduled for hair/makeup starting at 11:30. Almost our entire bridal party is from OOT and strapped for cash. We didn't have an e-party, and have no real rehearsal as we are getting married at the hall.
We wanted to do a dinner to give them the gifts and say 'thanks' and all that other fun stuff as well as 'relax' the night before, however, this means we're asking them to all take off, or leave work early on Thursday as well. Some don't work 9-5 jobs so they are all ready taking off Friday and Sat. too. Some have kids that aren't invited, and they would need to spend on another night at the hotel. We're getting married at the fox hollow and their rooms are pricey. We're looking into another hotel, but still.. it's at least an extra $100...
Would a breakfast at like 10:00? be a good idea instead?
People can then leave Friday morning to come and not pay for a hotel room Thursday night, not take an extra day off of work, and not extra day of a babysitter.
BUT where will they put their stuff? Most will probably hit some sort of rush hour on the drive here (3hr drive is the longest) they can't check in until 3:00, and then will be up and parting until 12:30am that night.. will they be too tired???
The good side to the night before is they can sleep in, really relax beforehand, no one is forced to wake up extremely early to stay up extremely late and to us dinner is something I think more people may enjoy. Breakfast is well...coffee to most of us, maybe a bagel.. I feel like I may waste their time and our $...
Any other suggestions??
Thanks
