WHo issupposetoplanthe rehersal dinner? I know the grooms parent usually pay but who does all the planning.I have started planning and I am wondering if I may be stepping on toes by doing this.

DH and I (or I should say I) planned the rehearsal...although there was not much to plan-we went around checking out places...narrowed it down...chose the place...and I ,made invites-which were more like HEre's the info (not asking them whether they were coming-since they know they had to be there) I made chocolate favors with my MOH Chose the menu That's really it...
On a side note, the rehearsal was on LI and Dhs parents live in CT-they dont even have a clue to restaurants, In addition, they are from Ecuador and havent experienced NY weddings-they basically gave us free reign which was nice of them!

My DH's parents took care of the rehearsal, so I let my MIL plan everything. One less thing for me to worry about.

FH and I found the place (it's about .5 of a mile from our ceremony location). His parents are paying for it. We brought down the deposit check and picked the menu. His parents are also doing the groom's cake.

i have a queation...since you are getting married in St. Thomas ...are you doing ur RD there? I'm having mine in Aruba and I hope i'm doing the right thing ...thanks !

i have a queation...since you are getting married in St. Thomas ...are you doing ur RD there? I'm having mine in Aruba and I hope i'm doing the right thing ...thanks !
I plan on doing my RD in St. Thomas. That is why I started planning the RD but then thought maybe I shouldn't be doing this. I don'tmind doing it I just didn't want to offend my FILs
