Re: Rehersal Dinner

I'm having a problem with this as well. My wedding party is big, with lots of little kids too, if we invite the wedding party and their significant others, their kids, and also the little kids' parents, OOTers that are important elder family members, we're practically inviting our entire wedding! give or take a few. Its kind of out of control.

I'm not sure how to approach this and am frankly thinking of skipping the entire thing. We don't know how to handle the entire rehearsal dinner thing because if we just invite the party, people will get mad. That's just how my crazy family rolls.

I'm having a backyard BBQ and calling it a day.

I WISH I could do this, but the church we're getting married at is wayyy out east and we'd have to travel all the way back west like 1 1/2 hours to have a BBQ/house party, only to travel back for the night. Our party is not near anyone's homes to throw it at otherwise I'd definitely do that.

I'm going to make my own RD invitations and have people respond by email or phone. We're inviting parents, the bridal party and their significant others/dates, and readers with dates. we have too many guests from OOT to invite those too

I just ordered invites and will send them out separately once we get the RSVP's in.

We are inviting family, BP and their date, and ALL OOT people checked into the hotel. It's much larger than I ever thought/wanted, but FMIL is paying and wants it this way.

I have an 17 person bridal party. I feel like if we invite significant others it will make the dinner very large, But it seems like everyone on here is saying they do invite significant others?

I'm having the same problem. With BP, readers, immediate fam and OOTers, We already have a significant party and my parents don't want the # to get out of hand. 2 of my BMs are from out of town so of course we are inviting their SOs, and I think my sister and brother are getting special permission to bring theirs, but isnt that not fair to the others?

Then again, local significant others might be glad not to have to go when they'll be at a wedding all day the next day. So maybe its not so bad.
