Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

In Sayville, there is Land's End. Also Collins and Main. And Allegro. (And Michael's)

In Oakdale, there is The Snapper Inn.

I'm sure there are some places in Bayport too but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I went to Allegro for Easter brunch. It was pretty good. Buffet so I can't say how their normal meals are. I think we paid $18 or $19 per person if that gives you an idea of their cost.

I've never been to Land's End, Collins and Main, or Michael's though I've heard good things about all of them. I've been the Snapper Inn. I thought it was overpriced, but the location is nice.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I'm confused, you can just eat at Land's End? Its not only a catering hall?
I would love to go there.

How about the Riverview in Oakdale...right next to Sayville? My rehersal dinner is going to be there. It is very pretty and you are right on the water. it is a Lessing Catering establishment and I heard the foodis good.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I called some places, and I feel bad asking my MIL and FIL to pay $28 - $33 per person plus tax and gratuity and that doesn't even include drinks.

I think they would have a cow!!!

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I know that Captain Bills in Bayshore has EXCELLENT food, and they have smaller catering rooms for small parties, or they could put tables together for you.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

We're having ours at The Brickhouse Brewery . The food is great and they give you a private room. Check it out - the pictures online don't do it justice. My FH and I are into the micro brewery thing, so maybe it's not for everybody.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I did call Brickhouse, I thought of it after I posted this, and that place looks like a possibility. Thanks for all your help.

Mish - I didn't want to ahve it at one of our parent's house, becasue then it would be more work for my mom or I and and each house there will be fmaily spending the week, so I figured it would be too hectic.

Also Vin's parents might be going thru some kitchen construction, and if it rains, there is no room in their house, and then I would be stuck doing everything else, like cleaning up before and after, and making everything look like I want it to look like.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

Bethsiar, I don't know if you can eat at Land's End for just dinner or something. I sort of just assumed you could book it for a RD but now that you mention it, I have no idea!

The Brickhouse Brewery is definitely nice too...

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

I bet there is some way you can, because I remember someone winning Lobster Night at Land's End at the other GTG.

They would make sooo much money if they opened it up during the week.

Re: Rehersal Dinner in SUffolk COunty

It used to be a restaurant and had a great bar, but that was beofre they changed owners, not really sure if you can have a RD there though.
