I started this already by WOM, but I may send out invites if I have the time and the money LOL...

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
email, word of mouth - our rehearsal dinner is immediate family and the bridal party - i don't have the time, energy or money to send out official invites

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I'm honestly really confused about how to do it. Maybe I can do some DIY invites? I dunno....It would help if we actually DECIDED when/where we're having the RD right?

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I'm not sure yet. Most likely word of mouth. I really don't think I'll be sending out invites. I can barely afford stamps for the wedding invites!!!

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I wanted to send invitations and offered to buy them myself but the hosts (FIL's) said, and I quote, 'I guess we're old fashioned b/c we think we should save money rather than send invitations'.
So they want word of mouth, I may just send them out w/o them knowing.
This isn't an answer but I think either WOM or invites are just fine (assuming you're not having a huge RD).

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I will be sending them out a little note on specialty paper...It is just too hard to get everyone by email or word of mouth!

I am doing it by email. I didn't want to have to spend more money on invites & postage.

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
My FMIL is handling this. I don't even have a clue and I haven't asked because so much has been going on! I think I better ask now!

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I picked other, I figured to let me FMIL handle that since it's her shindig. But if you and FH are paying for it, I would probably do word of mouth or a very casual invite.

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
We were going to do word of mouth and possible an evite but my MIL found simple fill in invitations at Hallmark or Target that she filled out and mailed.

I'm going the DIY invite route.

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I'd like to find simple invites or maybe print something off the computer. This way they have a reminder to stick on the fridge!!

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I will do invites... nothing too pricey -- either get some inexpensive ones or buy some DIY stuff!

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I voted send out invites because it's hard enough to get people to remember dates, and at least this way it's on paper, hopefully hanging on their fridge or something! Even if I have to buy some cheap ones from walmart, or make them on my computer, I'm doing this!

Re: Rehersal Dinner POLL
I've never gotten an invitation to a RD. I was always just told about it. So, we're using word of mouth.
