Rehersal Dinner Quesion

How far away is your rehersal dinner location from your church? Is it ok to have them about a 1/2 hour drive away from each other, or are they supposed to be a lot closer? I'm starting to look into it so I can give my FMIL quotes. My church is in Ronkonkoma, so if you have any restaurant suggestions around there, that would be great too! Thanks in advance...

I don't think it matters, then again, if you are inviting a lot of people, then you should take in to account the commuting for them. I am holding a BBQ the week b4 our wedding in NJ at my mother's house. My church is in Bklyn, but the only people that will be there is my BP and parents and we will invite any guest that comes in early to attend our wedding. We will look in to car pooling, but everyone has a car. We decided not to have our RD the week of our wedding, too much stress. Good luck with your planning

Are you getting married at Holy Cross? I am, but in Nov. 2002. I think the 1/2 hour is okay but it depends on your guests. Where are you planning on having it?

Rehersal Dinner Quesion

I'm actually getting married at St. Elizabeths. I'm not sure where I am going to have it, but I think I want it on the water, in which case we would all have to drive to the south or north shore, which is about 25-30 min. I think I'll plan it that way anyway! Thanks for your help!!

If you want it on the water, there is Danfords in Pt Jeff (www.danfords.com) or Riverview in Sayville (www.lessing.com)...just some suggestions that are not too far...Goood Luck!!
