I am getting married outside of Tall Grass Country Club. I talked to the manager at Tall Grass the other day he said that they usually do not do rehersals for the ceremony. He said they are usuall pretty basic and just line people up that day. He also said I can have one if I really want to... I feel like we want to have a run through so we have an idea of what we are doing that day. I am sure we will be nervous already. I am going to talk to the judge on what his opinion is.... but what do you think? Go for the rehersal? Plus if we dont have one we wont even have a rehersal dinner! Thanks in advance!

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
Hi...we are in the same boat! We have been in so many weddings and find the rehearsals are usually pretty standard and boring. I think I am just going to type up a short note on what to do and the maitre'd takes care of the rest on the day of!
We are still having a dinner! Its tradition!

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
I dont think its absolutely necessary, if you are getting married at the hall most likely all anyone will have to do is walk up and stand there. You follow the judges lead.
I got married in a church and had to get up and move and truthfully the day of I didnt remember anything from the rehearsal, most processionals are pretty standard. I wouldnt make myself crazy over having a rehearsal
ETA: If you want to have a rehearsal dinner you can-we did our rehearsal wed and our dinner on thursday. You dont have to have a rehearsal to have rehearsal dinner....you can still do it

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
We are getting married at our hall also. We are doing a run through that morning before the ceremony. We are having a non-rehearsal dinner!

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
We did not have an actual rehearsal of our ceremony, it wasn't necessary at all. In fact, I've been in 4 weddings as a BM, and none of those had rehearsals either.
We did have a dinner the night before our wedding for all our OOT guests though. We called it a 'Welcome Dinner' so no one would be confused, thinking there was going to be a rehearsal.

We are going to do a run through an hour before the ceremony..... no formal rehearsal. Maybe you could do something like that instead? We are having an oot dinner the night before

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
We got married at our RH and did not have a separate rehersal. Really no need for one.
The officiant ran us thru the order of the ceremony about 30 minutes before the start, and at the time of, the BM lined everyone up, told them when to walk, and where to go. The officiant also guided us thru the ceremony.

Re: REHERSAL QUESTION?
You don't HAVE to have a rehearsal, I've seen many go off without one. Some do a dry run one hour before the ceremony, it takes about 20 minutes and then it is fresh in everyone's mind.
It is up to you if you want to have the dinner w/o an actual rehearsal. Some people still have the dinner as a way to say thank you to the BP and parents and hand out gifts.
