So, I just called my priest to set up my rehearsal at the church. I have to do it the night before the wedding (Thurs) because of OOTners.
But of course there is a service every Thurs and the only time he can do the rehearsal is at 9pm! So, this ***** but what can I do. I think the only thing to do if have the rehearsal dinner before the rehearsal? Is this dumb. I'm afraid everyone will be drinking and then not pay attention at all at the rehearsal and I don't want to piss off the priest (he's already a semi-bitter priest). But if we have it after it could go to midnight- and Shiv needs her beauty sleep before the big day, hehe.

Re: Rehersal time
We're kinda in the same shoes....it'll be a Fri. (although we requested a week b4 the wedding) & they are set for 8pm (BUT all weddings for that weekend are at the same time, first come, first served), so we don't want to have dinner at 6 & rush (& be drunk), but have some peeps coming from CT (we were considering having the dinner 1 nite & rehearsal another night).

Re: Rehersal time
the only problem with that is that the OOTners are my FH's side- so his mother is throwing the RD and wants all her OOT peps there. And the OOTners won't be until the night before.
ugh, logisitcs suck. I think we're just going to have to be drunk!

Re: Rehersal time
i just met with my priest b4. are the ooters in your wedding party.
we chose the weds b4 the wedding... remember, the church has a set schedule and we are butting into it. mine was either going to be on a sat or weds so i chose weds.
see if you can make it on a weds. or early on thurs. y cant you do it b4 9pm like 4pm? find out. maybe you can work it out. good luck

Re: Rehersal time
The service runs from 12:30 till 7:30, he says the earliest he can do it after that is 9pm.
His family is in our wedding party- so they have to be there. They are all OOTners.

Re: Rehersal time
Not dumb at all, perfectly appropriate. I wouldn't want to be out too late either the night before. Have dinner at around 6 and then head over.
