Kind of a touchy questions but I am interested to know...
Is anyone practicing 'abstinence' for a while before your wedding? And if so, for how long?
We stopped and will not have sex again before the wedding.. about two weeks.
Past brides that have done this: Did it actually make the wedding night more special?

I doubt I will do that... I really see it as pointless... I see it as 2 people trying to become born-again virgins for just a few weeks before marriage. If it was a part of your life that was THAT important, you wouldnt have had sex before marriage to begin with right?

FH & I live together (and have a 7 year old) so we ABSTAIN from sex very often...(i think the longest has been 3 weeks but not that often)...lol
I wanted to do this, but our sex is so random (and always amazing) so I dont think it would change anything.
It *might* make things interesting, if you're not used to not having sex every night...

we havent been planning no relations... but it seems to be happening due to our schedules ~ we have 'hallway relations' as we passs each other by.... I originally told FH in January I think we should obstain until our wedding night ~ he litterly almost had a heart attack! I think either way - whatever your choice is to obstain or not your wedding nigjht will be special either way ~ since you will be with the one you love!

The only reason I might be into trying this is that usually if we dont get to do it for a few weeks, its always much more intense when we finally 'catch up'.

I've pondered this idea too and I def would think about and like to do it - I should probably decide on that soon cause my wedding is about 7 weeks away But he would probably bug me and make me crazy so I'm not sure it would work. But if you both are on the same page, why not.

I didn't think the number was that high... I thought it was closer to half - but I've definitely seen many times before that a large number don't! Think how exhausted you'll be, and what a crazy day you'll have had!
For fh and I... as I told him, I spent about $80 or so on wedding night lingerie, so we darn well had better use it!
And no, we WON'T be abstaining until then - I also find it to be pointless - besides, with our crazy schedules, we'll probably mostly do it unintentionally anyway!

We couldnt do it Tried...didnt work...and didnt the night of the wedding. I passed out in my dress on the bed and I wasnt waking up for nothing

FH and I are doing this. We are going to go about a month. Its a little easier for us since he is living in Syarcuse right now and I am stil here. Beleieve it or not, it was his idea!!

FH and I have been doing this for about 5 weeks now. We just figure it will make the wedding night that much more special and intense and so far I am not regretting the decision, I am so excited for Saturday night!
