Hope I got your attention...

Kind of a touchy questions but I am interested to know...

Is anyone practicing 'abstinence' for a while before your wedding? And if so, for how long?

We stopped and will not have sex again before the wedding.. about two weeks.

Past brides that have done this: Did it actually make the wedding night more special?

I honestly don't see the point in it... I don't see how it could make the night 'more special'... you do it, you've done it... keep doin' it.

Again, don't see the point. Why stop just because your wedding is coming up? Might as well not wear white...

FH and I are doing it hopefully from 6 months until the wedding. To some if might not mean much but it means a lot to me and that is all that matters.

Was starting to think I was crazy...

You're not alone my FH and I are doing it! It's been maybe 2 weeks and we have 30 days to go! I don't think it's about being a 'born again virgin' so much as it is about creating anticipation, etc .. It's just like not seeing the bride/groom before the ceremony or not spending the night together the night before... it's a personal choice and varies from couple to couple..
Anyway. We are getting our apartment, we sign the lease tomorrow and the move in date is the 8/15 but although we will move our stuff there; we are not going to live there until after we get married and come back from the honeymoon. We lived together at his moms house for 4 years and we practically live together now...
these are just little things we are doing to make things extra special to us..
maybe it's not for everybody but it is fun to us..
we have been together for 9 years and I have known him since I was 11....
I think can make it 30 days! LOL!

DH and I did that, but not because it was planned. It was more becaue we were too busy and just couldn't really think about being intimite with so much to be done. There was the wedding, and DH was starting his business ontop of a new job and we had just gone into contract on our house.
It was about a month long. We made up for it on the HM.

We have hectic schedules now so it won't be much different right before the wedding, although we will be living together before we get married so maybe it will be a little more
