Releasing Butterflies at wedding??

I was looking into releasing butterflies at my wedding. Does anyone know of any vendors who are reasonable at this new trend??

I thought about it, but since my wedding is late September and the butterflies require a certain temperature to be released, I decided not to. A good website to check out is Amazing Butterflies

There are tons of on-line vendors who did this. some FYIs:
--Need a certain temperature for them to become active. Too cold, damp and they are dormant. Too hot and they fly out and drop to floor.
--Be careful. I am not a fan of the individual envelops. They are too shocked when exposed to the light. I prefer getting a larg container (like a pretty hat bod, basket or bird cage wrapped with tulle) and you and FH release them. this keeps them open, cool, and happier
--That I know of there are no vendors that do the actual release, but rather send you the larva and you put them in envelop and they hatch in them. Of premade envelops with larva in it and they are timed to hatch in time of wedding.

After loosing my deposit from Stewart Manor I had to give up my butterfly release Can cost around $300-$500.

My whole theme is butterlfies. Hope this helps.

Its such a nice idea, but comes with so many issues. I have heard of weddings where they were in shock and dropped to the floor.

Sorry to say that I have heard some sad stories about releasing butterflies.
Sometimes they all don't hatch in time, they do go into shock if the temp and climate isn't good.

My sister-in-law's cousin did this and it did not work. The butterflies were freaking out in the envelopes and you can hear and feel them rattling... To top it all off it, rained so a lot of them could not fly and winded up kicking the bucket outside.....
