Re: Religion, nationality?
Both of us are Latino (Fh - Cuban, Me - Cuban/Puerto rican) we are both also Catholic. However my FH and his family are strong Santeros (Santeria - name given after Cuban Revolution - by Spain - really known as Yoruba - from its West Africa - it is very strong amongst Brazilian and Cuban culture as well as other Latin countries) as well. My FH's father is a Babalawo (high priest). That is sometimes an issue with us because although my family believes in it (some parts) we are not as radical as they are. That sometimes becomes a problem b/w us. I respect the religion but feel that their beliefs should not be pressed on me/or future children - EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO THEIR BELIEF SYSTEM _ I RESPECT THAT
