Re: Religion, nationality?
We are of different nationality but I am lucky that he was non-practicing in his religion and has taking a liking to mine. Otherwise things might have been complicated

Re: Religion, nationality?
that's so sad. I hope your parents and you work it out. I believe that every religion should be about understanding and love, therefor having respect for other peoples decisions. Either way I hope you have a great time at your wedding and enjoy every moment with your FH, cause that's what counts. It the long run it's just the two of you

Re: Religion, nationality?
i'm lutheran and a mix of irish, italian, norwegian, and french canadian.
fh is jewish (though not really a practicing one, just major holidays, and his dad's episcopal so he's got a mix already) and a real mutt! =0) his mom's side is a mix of like all eastern european jews (mainly lithuanian) and his dad's side is a mix of the rest of europe. in addition to that, his step-dad (or ex step dad...) is irish and his grandfather (his mom's step dad) is 100% cuban and so are his great grandparents.

Was this directed to me? If so thank you but for anyone that knows Witnesses they can be sticklers when it comes to what is right and wrong. To my parents I am commnitting the ultimate SIN by turning my back on the religion, especially since I grew up in the 'faith ' and should know better. So there is no way they will be re-considering coming to my wedding-

IMO religion should teach love and respect... somehow not going to a close family member's wedding doesn't seem to jive w/ basic tenet of a healthy religion but that's just my opinion i'd be pretty p-o'ed if my immediate family didn't come to my wedding (religion aside). fh's brother said he won't bring his wife and kids o well, wut r u gonna do?

Re: Religion, nationality?
I was raised Catholic but I choose not to be Catholic anymore because I don't agree with alot of things that they stand for.
I am mostly Polish with a little Irish Italian in there
