Relinquishing GUN CONTROL

Original post by Goldi1021

Me and FH were walking through Fortunoff the other day. We had not registered yet but plan to very soon. We noticed many of the engaged couples registering. The men were of two types:

1)Those who were REALLY into it - actively helping their FWs choose china and whatnot.

and

2)Those who would rather be ANYWHERE else.

The only commonality between these two groups of men were the fact that THEY ALL HAD THE GUNS!!! Ladies, when did you give up the right to bear arms?!?!?!

I think the only way I am going to get my FH there without him kicking and screaming is to give him the memory of his childhood when kids were allowed to play with toy guns happily without repercussion. Do all of the FH's think that having possession of this device makes them more manly in a femme world of registering?

I thought maybe some stressed brides could use this laugh.

Why? I'll tell you why. I run the risk of being crude but...

Men think that by holding onto the gun, they are holding onto what is left of um well you know. Though someone should inform them that the gun is not an extension of themselves.

FH allowed me to hold the gun in Fortunoffs and Macys. I allowed him to hold it in Target and I now have Kit Kat bars on my registry (serves me right)

HAHA Mine would do the same thing! Actually he would probably run to the videogame section and put on some Playstation games! - just what we need!

OMG! Does Fortunoff have video games? Macy's? This may work very well in FH's favor. If I could register for a Playstation and some sort of NFL thingy - IMAGINE THE POSSIBLITIES!!!!!

My DH LOVED the gun. He would walk away from me and all I would hear is beep, beep, beep - He really liked registering!

PS - Crate & Barrel had the BEST guns, easy to use and not so heavy!
