***DISCLAIMER: this is NOT meant as a blanket insult to anybody who may be active in any of the political campaigns going on!***
She is constantly sending political emails out because she wants everyone to be informed about all the candidates. The only problem is that all of her emails are all pro-John Edwards, anti-everyone else. She actually sent an anti-Bush email to someone who works for the Dept. of Defense at his work email! Last night she sent an anti-Hillary email to all the New Yorkers on her email list.
So last night, since she claims she always appreciates honesty, I emailed her asking if she would please stop sending me all the political emails. I told her that I know how passionate she is about politics, but I hope she could understand that right now my passion is focused on battling cancer.
She actually emailed me back saying, I'm not angy and I respect your position, but I don't understand it. If you don't stay informed, how will you make an informed decision about who you are voting for. And then she went on to say that she wasn't aware that I wasn't fully recovered yet and she wishes me well, but right now her main concern is getting the 'right' candidate elected so I won't be hearing from her until after November.
WHAT???
Does that even make sense???????

I cannot believe her response to you!
'her main concern is getting the 'right' candidate elected so I won't be hearing from her until after November.'
If I were you, I'd be happy if I never heard from her again!

whoa, she sounds a little TOOO into this. i mean, its one thing to be passionate about politics but its another thing to force your views on others.

I just read the email to FH. I told him that I feel bad, but the time has come to confront and tell her that the friendship just isn't working for me anymore and that I wish her well.
She is very critical of people who don't share her views or her lifestyle. Usually I let it roll off my back, but it's starting to get old.

Not only does she seem like a person who only sees things onesidely, she seems not the greatest of friends. Especially with what you are going through, you don't need friends who don't have time for you because of some political campaign going on.

Re: Remeber that friend of mine in San Diego?
Well, I just sat at my computer for the past hour and a half, and wrote her an email explaining that this friendship had run its course for me.
I'm all for being passionate about your interests, but it just seems like she spends too much time justifying hers.
I'm actually kind of sad...

thats a little crazy of her. I personally hate when people push their beliefs on other people. She needs to realize that not everyone has the same 'priorities' that she has.

Oh boy. First of all, i think this is all bull... and she is pushing things on people... like a brain washer..
second, a friend of mine was working for hillary and quit.... (she is now working for brittneys publicist) and said that they will all do whatever is possible to get Ron Paul out of everything and anything...and that if they were 'realcandidates' that they would support eachother and not backstab everyone!
had to let that out. Its been bothering me...
and the fact that she thinks this bs is more important than YOU GETTING BETTER?!?!?!?! really made me mad
