Remember that 'black tie' wedding I was invited to?

Remember that 'black tie' wedding I was invited to?

from the former co-worker who never even mailed her RSVP for OUR wedding.

We declined. She just called me and left a voice message saying, 'I don't understand. Someone must have made a mistake because your RSVP says 'not coming', but you said you were coming'

(she had done that to ME last year! first, she was coming. At the last minute, she wasn't. And, she never mailed that RSVP back!!!)

So, I called her back to say I can't make it because my cousin's child is being baptized. She says, 'Oh, that's a good reason. Are you the godmother?'

I say, 'no, I'm godmother to my other cousin's child'

So, I say, 'okay, I have to go now. We have people over. Today is our 1 year anniversary'

She says, 'oh, that's right. wow that went fast!'

I say, 'yup, okay. bye'

HOW SELFISH! AND INCONSIDERATE! She never even mailed me a CARD or RSVP'd to my wedding. And, she has the nerve to call me and complain about me declining!!! I was B-listed anyway. I got the invite 10 days before the RSVP deadline!

i think its rude that she called u about what u put on the rsvp card. things come up that you have to change your mind

i would give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was really just trying to find out if you were coming or not.

people are rude and selfish. i don't understand how she can call you to complain about not going. she never even mailed a card to you.

her tone during the entire conversation was the issue. It was not a 'hey, I'm confused' type of tone. It was more of a 'what the hell did you do' type of tone.
