Re: Remembering 9/11

It really hit me before coming in to work...I take the World Trade Center path train and there were barricades set up across the street, lined up with cops and fire fighters behind were a bunch of ppl. In front of the path station there were 3 ppl standing on top of something they were mimes or i dont know what, but one was a business woman with dust all over her, another was a soldier and another was a muslim. Plus St. Pauls chapel across the street was opened and there were tons of ppl there and all around the area

Re: Remembering 9/11

the families and friends of those lost are in my thoughts all day today.

i just can't turn on the tv this morning. i can't stand to watch the ceremony at ground zero. it's too much, with them reading all the names. i realize that the families may still need to mourn, but it's just too hard to watch!!

Re: Remembering 9/11

I had dreams about 9/11 for the past 2 days now, bec I have been watching the movie and its all over the newspaper. I dont want to start with my theories but very sad , everyone will remember this forever and ever. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in college and someone said the towers have been it, I didnt think much of it, I thought it was nothing and when they said the tower fell I was like ohh just half fell, I didnt register it in my mind that it fell, I walk outside and from my college I can see the NY skyline and everyone was in AWW , never forget

Before 9/11, I would sit next to my window at SJU and look outside, I could see the skyline from my window bec my college was high on a hill. I wouldtn pay attention in class and just watch the planes come in over the city. But that day 9/11, for some reason I did not sit next to the window, the blinds were closed, I sat in the middle and payed attention in class for once, if I was sitting next to the window I would have seen EVERYTHING!!!

I think it will.

The anniv. of Pearl Harbor isn't as hard to deal with as I'm sure it was many years ago.

hmmmm...... tough call. I can't speak for those who lost someone...... but, I think in 40 years from now, I will definitely remember 9/11, but, I don't think it will have the same effect on my emotions, that it still does, if that makes sense?

It'll be SO WEIRD when our kids and grandkids learn about it, the same way we learned about Pearl Harbor.... and things like that.

And when they get school assignments to speak to someone who was there, etc. That will be so strange.
